| The story goes, that when
the first Diesel engine was demonstrated at the Paris worlds fair in the
late 1800's it ran on peanut oil. |
Rudolf Diesel mentioned
vegetable oil as a fuel in his diesel engine patent and felt vegetable
oil would be one of the standard fuels of the future.
" The diesel engine can be fed with vegetable oils and would help
considerably in the development of agriculture of the countries which
use it" " The use of vegetable oils for engine fuels may seem
insignificant today. But such oils may become in course of time as
important as petroleum and the coal tar products of the present time,"
Rudolf Diesel, 1911. |
The introduction of
inexpensive petrodiesel in the early 1900's made the use of the more
costly vegetable oil as a fuel unnecessary, soon the use of vegetable
oil in the diesel engine and Rudolf Diesel's dream of a renewable fuel
source was forgotten almost all together.

| The standard diesel engine,
by design is 30% more efficient than its gasoline counterpart in both
fuel mileage and power per cubic inch / liter. The standard compact
diesel car gets around 50 mpg right off of the showroom floor, about the
same as a new high-tech compact hybrid car, at a fraction of the cost..
Diesel hybrids are in the 70+ mpg range. |
| The diesel engine burns fuel
more efficiently and therefore produces less pollutants per mile
traveled than gasoline powered vehicles of the same size. |
| New Vegetable Oil / Pure
Plant Oil and Waste Vegetable Oil (SVO / PPO & WVO) as a fuel is
approximately 95% as efficient as petroleum based diesel. The Biodiesel
derivative (esters removed) is virtually identical to that of petro
diesel. |

| VegOil / Diesel Vehicles
get 30% to 40% more miles per gallon than Gasoline powered
vehicles.
|
| VegOil / Diesel Vehicles
produce 30% to 40% more horsepower per cubic inch/liter than Gasoline
powered Vehicles. |
| On the average VegOil /
Diesel engines last longer than Gasoline engines ( 300k to 500k
miles is quite common.) |
|
VegOil is a better
lubricant than Diesel fuel, therefore can prolong engine life. |
|
|
VegOil is carbon neutral,
therefore it emits NO additional Greenhouse gasses or Carbon
Monoxide into the atmosphere than it consumed while it was growing.
|
| VegOil is an infinitely
renewable resource, grown by American Farmers. |
